Hello to all again today!
I would like to finally begin talking about those elephants I promised to comment on back in blog #3! I watched a program on the science channel about this monstrous animals...
...they are some of the largest animals living on land. They reach not hundreds of pounds but tons of pounds. They are also the most beloved of all animals by children!
Their personalities are much alike to our own, they are raised by mothers, aunts, and grandmothers within their hurd...they grow and live with the same elephants their whole life...it is very rare for an elephant to be separated from the pact...unless it is a male elephant and then they must leave if the alpha male elephant feels threatened! Anyway they are born into a family and a community (just like humans). They learn from elders about what is acceptable within their herd (just like humans). When one member of the herd dies they have a mass ceremony for the past one. They actually cry and touch the dead elephant for days...until they have to stop so they can move on to find food and shelter (but they will mourn for their loss for days sometimes weeks). On the show their was an elephant that found a skeleton of another elephant, and elephant A actually began to attempt to pick up the skeleton and began crying!!!!
This seems very personnel to me! Anything that shows this much human traits must have the ability to love, think, remember, recognize, and honestly cherish relationships!
Humans are really beginning to wonder why elephants have turned "bad". Well I have a suggestion...maybe when we take these animals into custody and take them away from their homes and families and force them to do things completely against those natural things they are used to they get pissed!
Maybe when we kill large male elephants for their trunks they tend to fear humans! Maybe when the largest, oldest elephants are shot down in Africa while walking in a heard...the ones left alive remember and begin to build hatred! You see to shoot the oldest means you shoot the wisest and that's how elephants learn how to become elephants by the ADULT ELEPHANTS! So when you shoot and kill the moms and dads the babies do not know how go from child to adult, they start making their own rules and they are already angry and sad.
So listen up elephant killers! These animals are not far from the emotions humans have if they are not already there. We need to protect their interests instead of trying to ruin them. One day (if we keep this up) instead of going to the park to show our kids the elephants, we'll have to explain how we wiped them of the face of the earth!!!!!!!
That's it for me Nik

Hello all:
I had a dream last night about a dear friend of mine that passed on many years ago, when I woke up this morning I couldn't get him out of my head so I took out some old poetry and for some reason finally finished a poem that I started 10 years ago. This is for all of us that loved you Adam!
I watch you everyday as you go on with life. I have tried to reach you, but you only continue on. So today I write you this letter to remind you that I am here.
When I see you leave for work and you seem tired with exhaustion, and I cannot find that smile I used to admire, I smile for you. As you look at the glow from beyond the mountains you may not see my face, but my smile still reaches the freckles upon your brow. As the warmth of my love lights your face, you think of me and then I see your smile.
When you sit in the park and you are sad with lost memories, and I see those tears of pain roll down your face, I cry too. Though you seem upset by the downpour, you must remember your pain is still mine, and I will shed many tears for you to save one. As my tears beat upon your skin, you forget your pain. As you stop to feel the rain, your tears may have stopped, but my tears are always here to wash your face.
When you are alone and feel afraid, I send my love to you in the cool autumn breeze. As you bundle up please remember that this breeze is my love, and as it swirls around you, always know that you are not alone and I will always be here to embrace you with open arms.
When you are consumed by darkness and you fear there is no light left, I will send my light to you in many shapes. I will drop the white flakes until you forget the darkness, and remember there is always a place where my love shines white.
At night before you rest your head, and you fall off to dream, take one glance out the window and peer into my eyes, for I sent millions of angels to look after you, and they are in the sky.
Never take for granted these little signs of love. For my love is as bright as the sun, as comforting as the rain, as strong as the wind, as bright as winter snow, and will last forever just as the stars. For I love you, and will watch over you until we meet again, my dearest friend.

Hello everyone! I cannot believe I missed a day, actually this is the week of midterms so I've been just a bit stressed, actually I only write this now because I am waiting for my dear ol computer to spit out the papers I've been trying to print now for close to 15 minutes. I finally decided to take a deep breath and attempt this whole patience idea.
So how is everyone? I want to have a discussion! OK so your stuck in traffic, or your in an endless line walking up stairs to your next class, or your in an endless line trying to get food right? ok well what are you most likely doing? I'll tell you, you are standing there by yourself looking down or looking straight ahead, if you do attempt to look in the direction of another human being you do not smile or nod or even show that you recognize there is a person in front of you looking at you. I am really beginning to hate this about America.
Are we just all so busy and consumed with our own precious lives that we cannot or will not recognize that there are millions of people we run into everyday that has the potential to strike a nerve in us, another person that can help us figure something out, hell at the very least their is someone right next to us that could at least help us pass the time riding some stupid crowded bus!!!!!
Are people afraid to smile? When was it a crime to notice that you see someone else? Wasn't there once a rule that if you made eye contact with someone else you at least nodded if not smiled? If there was someone you knew that walked by you raised your hand to wave and yell "HI"!!!! I just don't get it! I don't understand when I get bad looks and I feel like I am doing something wrong when I stand in line and start talking about Brad Pitt! It's obviously on your mind since you picked up the @#*!@^& magazine!!!
You know what I think? I think it's about time that we start paying attention to each other. When you see someone SMILE--NOD--WINK--do something to let the other person and yourself know that you are capable of seeing a person, recognizing you see them, and then giving an outward signal that your eyes are connected to your brain.
And another thing...what is it with you idiots that see someone walking behind you through a door and you let door slam in their faces.......

Hello all:
It still cloudy and cold here, the weather man again said it should reach 70 degrees today, again the weather man lied. Does anyone watch the weather channel (not only when there is a major storm somewhere, but really watch the weather?) Well I have this wonderful channel on my favorites and I watch it as often as boyfriend will allow! The people on the show now must have come from another planet, I love them but come on...they dance and make up songs so the common folk can remember what a front is...but I love it, it puts me in a good mood. I just wish they would learn how to tell the temp!
Moving on, I want to talk about this little procedure I do everyday, I am not one to wear makeup (although I do wear eyeshadow, mascara, and the occasional lipstick) ok here goes 1) wake up 2) yell at boyfriend to turn off alarm that has been ringing since step 1) 3) race boyfriend to bathroom...so I can take a hot shower (hahaha) ps--new roommate has changed my agenda (AAAAAHHHHHHH to new room-mate!!!!!!!!!) 4) take shower-which also has an agenda a) shampoo hair and rinse b) condition hair-let stand c) wash face with little microbeads that should keep face looking and feeling fresh all day d) shave...all areas that need to be shaved-unless I just want to be lazy and then you know (who will notice)(unless I end up at the hospital and the nurses/doctors refuse to help me due to the fact that when they touch me I will cut through their gloves with hair that should have been shaven!)(or I need some extra cash and decide to pose nude for the artists at school-and then they don't pay me because my legs look like a cross-stitch of hair)(and finally what if I wore a tanktop and raise my arm to wave at a friend then everyone sees this dark circle gleaming in sunlight) e) then of course I bathe (with lever 2000 of course for all my 2000 parts) f) back to step b! Time to rise out conditioner. 5) get out of shower and dry off-first hair and then the rest 6) brush teeth-30 seconds on top 30 seconds on bottom 30 seconds for the sake of brushing (also hope I do not gag myself {which I have been known to do} because I've only been brushing my own teeth for over 20 years and still don't have the process down right) 7) put in contacts--again hoping this process does not end me up with swollen red eyes because who ever came up with the idea of contacts never really wore them!!!! 8) then it's back to my face! a) I tone the face with toner (which I have no idea what toner is but it must be used with all other face products...I guess if you don't use it, none of the other products will work. b) Then the face cream is applied (this product reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles and keeps other wrinkles from appearing) However, since applying product I have seen the growth of not one but two lines appear on forehead (AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH) 9) after all of this I give up on hair and make-up and go get back into bed with boyfriend who is still waiting patiently for bathroom!
This when written down seems pointless! I think I'm going to give it all up!
Well that's all I have to say Nik
