 A simple thought on diet

Hello to all today:

I thought I would catch you all up on my eating habits today....yea! Okay, like recently ... well allow me to give you all the real picture!

It was a beautiful sunny day outside, well not really! It was actually quite cold outside, but it was sunny, not blind you sunny, but sunny enough to say "it sure is a nice out today!" in spite of the cold!

I was walking from class A to class B on campus with my friend, well she is not actually my friend! She is more like a girl that I sit by and walk with, she was like sitting there right beside me and invited another 'friend' to hang out with her this weekend and she didn't even ask me to come...so naturally not a friend...more like a girl who has to make perfect grades and when you are absent she doesn't like to tell you what happened in class and if you make a B on a test or something she kinda gives you that little smirk that says "HA! I knew I would do better than you anyway!". But I still consider her a ... well, I really don't know!...So I shall say, while I was walking from class A to class B with this bitch, I was greeted by these Vegans.

Yes! As I was wearing my leather jacket, and 'friend B' was wearing her bright red leather handbag...we walk right up to Vegan and take handouts and such.

Three days later I am lying in my bed thinking about that little white man that handed me something on the way to class B! So I hop right out of bed and go get free pamphlets!

To my shock and horror I see these little animals having such cruel things being done I actually have a tiny little tear fall from left eye onto pillow. I decide I must do something! I cannot have animals being grown on a farm to only fall to a slaughter!

So I become a vegetarian! Absolutely NO meat! No bacon bits...No steak tips...NO eggs (which isn't actually that hard...I hate eggs anyway, so big loss there; however, I actually despised not being able to eat my bacon bits....have you ever had a salad without bacon bits? It was like the grossest thing I ever ate in my entire life... well actually I don't eat a lot of varieties of food anyway... so it was certainly the grossest thing I ever ate!)

Well Long story short! After about five weeks I had run out of things to eat, and boyfriend was SSSSOOOOO upset because I had almost stopped eating! Well, okay the truth is I was a vegetarian right? Well, I woke up one day convinced that carbs were making me fat, so I was also on the carb diet!

The vegetarian/carb diet lasted exactly four days until boyfriend put down his large right foot declaring he will not allow me to parish...so I had to choose! Vegetarian or carb diet.

It was a very hard decision. All those little animals! It actually became a war in my mind. Slaughtered animals--or--little armies of carbs!

I justify my decision by naming each piece of meat that enters my body! If I eat a steak, I like to think my cow grazed the lands in the north, she had many children, and when she was old and was suffering from age, she walked up to the factory...stood there in final remembrance of her glorious life, looked at the farmer and said "My life was grand...I am ready...There is more lives than this!", and then that is it! The farmer shoots Lizy the Cow full of morphine and then tenderly breaks her little neck after Lizy passes on to deep sleep. Her children do not mourn her because they know that Lizy lived a good life!

But you see...I just cannot eat nothing but carbs...I can't get fat! Its an outrage I tell you! To choose between your butt and a little cows life! YOU KNOW YOU WOULD DO THE SAME! I am not a bad person....I am honest! And while I was a vegetarian I saved 2 cows and probably one chicken! So there!

Actually, to tell you the truth...the reason I became a vegetarian in the first place is because I want a seal coat...and I felt guilty so I thought I would do my part so when I received the coat I would not feel so bad!

And I think it is a job well done!

By the way, if anyone is interested...I eat less than 12 carbs a day! And if you don't think that's hard start looking at how many carbs you eat! If anyone else is on a good diet, please share! And if anyone else is on the zone diet or the carb diet...please share recipes!

The next time you eat meat...stop and have a short remembrance of the animal who gave his/her life so you could be full!

Thanks for stopping in today:

 Simple thoughts on War

Hello to all today:

Well I feel a little better. I had a migraine on Friday, my boyfriend said it was because I did my taxes and signed up for classes next semester and we are in the midst of buying a new home. Plus, we are getting ready for his little brother to come live with us, and all the stress just caught up to me. But like I said, I feel a lot better today! Last night we watched a movie and I want to post on it today!

I am always amazed at movies that show war how it used to be before the electronic age. When men and some women would go to battle with nothing more than swords and arrows. These people held pride for their war, or their ability to accomplish something. They held pride for their country and their people...it seemed as though they gave their lives for a true cause...much like today!

Our men and women hold that same pride. I just like the way war used to be. Men would gather together and stand on one side of a field, while the enemy would gather on the opposite side. The generals (or what have you) would go to the center of the field and chit chat for a few minutes, and then return to their men. Then in unison these two groups would march or sometimes run straight into the enemy. That was the war!

There was no tanks or bombs...no machine guns...no weapons of mass destruction! There were only men who held a sword, sometimes riding horses, often times to their death. I just can't help but think how that must feel.

To stand that close to another man who wants to kill you and the only thing you can depend on is your skill. If war was still this way do you think there would be less wars? I mean now war is so simple. The one who initiates war doesn't even have to see it. They can have armies and such do go to the "field" and they never even have to see it. The men and women now fight a war from afar, I know that there is still death and often times there is traumatic stress. But do you know there is now technology that will be able to put robots in charge of certain tasks so people do not come into danger.

This technology is around because of the types of weapons that are being used today...gas...poison...crazy heat seeking weapons.

I may be crazy, but is war supposed to be fought by technology? Why are men and women dying for technology or gas or anything like that? And why doesn't our kings and generals go to their wars anymore?

Kind of choppy, sorry for that...but I just do not understand!
Then again, Hollywood could simply be glorifying this type of war, and this why I think this way...I don't know.

Well thanks for stopping in all the same!

 A simple question

Hello to all today:

I feel burnt out. I have come here two days in a row and just can't seem to find words. It may be the fact that I had five tests in two days, and a completed paper...I just don't know. I'm tired and all I want to do is veg out. I am recently addicted to the computer network games....can't stop playing them.

So just a simple question to ask you all: What do you do to quiet your mind after an exhausting week?
