 BFF

Hello to all today:

Well I have been quit a busy bee lately. But I have a bone to pick and since I cannot share my views with the people who deserve it, I will share the bone with you!

What is up with friendships? I just moved into the house and now I have neighbors who think they are my best friends. What ever happened to "getting to know one another"? How can someone spend two or three weeks together and decide this is it this is my new best friend and I want to spend every WAKING moment with them?

I can count on one hand people I consider friends! One of them I have known since my birth, another is my sister, another lives in another state and it took us YEARS to develop our friendship, and another is my sweet lover bear.

My point is...why do I have to be rushed into friendship? It's almost like some people feel if they die and my name is not on their list of BFF then they will not be complete. That's a little harsh I know...so cross that from the record. It's just that I am very complex and I do NOT like to be BFF with everyone I meet. I may like to get my nails done and I may like to go swimming and I may like to workout, however, I also may like to do it on my own.

I am friendly but I am not very sensitive, and if I just meet you and you throw all your troubles my way I will set them neatly (so you can pick them up again) on the floor. I will also walk away with no explanation and NEVER talk to you again.

How do you tell someone that they are moving too fast in the friendship? How do you tell someone you like them, but don't want to spend the next four years on family vacations? How do you tell someone...yes I like to workout but the FOUR HOURS A DAY I DO BY MYSELF IS ENOUGH AND I DO NOT WANT TO WORKOUT WITH YOU?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Hello to all today:

I went to visit polarB and found this site...so I did one myself!

Your Values Profile

Loyalty:

You don't really value loyalty.
In your opinion, friendship should be earned.
If you don't agree with someone, it doesn't matter how close you are.
You'll let them (and everyone else know) exactly what you think.

Honesty:

You value honesty a fair amount.
You're honest when you can be, but you aren't a stickler for it.
If a little white lie will make a situation more comfortable, you'll go for it.
In the end, you mostly care about "situational integrity."

Generosity:

You value generosity highly.
So much so that you often put your own needs last.
There's nothing wrong with having a caring heart...
But you may want to rethink your "open wallet" policy.

Humility:

You value humility highly.
You have the self-confidence to be happy with who you are.
And you don't need to seek praise to make yourself feel better.
You're very modest, and you're keep the drama factor low.

Tolerance:

You value tolerance highly.
Not only do you enjoy the company of those very different from you...
You do all that you can to seek it out interesting and unique friends.
You think there are many truths in life, and you're open to many of them.

 Random thoughts so far

Hello to all today:

Well here we do a journey through my mind today.

What really is in cat-nip? And how do I get it in human form? I woke up to my sweet little Sugar-Bear roaring like a lion. When I ran into the living room to check on her (completely in the nude) she jumped on her back legs and made a backwards dive for my shoes. Then she ran around me three times in super cat mode and jumped on the back of the couch and stood again on her back legs, so she was eye to eye with me. Then she let out this cat roar like I have never heard before. There she was glaring into my eyes with this horrid screech of a meow. Then she licked her lips and off she went. I stood there dumb founded for like 30 seconds before I realized I standing naked in front of my front door.

So off to the shower I went.

Why does our hair always look better dry than wet? And why is that no matter where I get my hair done...they can never cut it straight? I cannot straighten my hair for fear that people will think I am lopsided!

Why is it that with all the houses in the world mine has to be the haven for all the lost spiders in the world. Seriously, I have so many spiders I cannot even begin to name them. It wears me out to keep up with them.

Why can I not find one friend who does not work full time? Are there no other house girlfriends out there?

Why do we use baking soda in food. I'm making my first banana nut bread and I have to use baking soda. I didn't even know what that was. So there I was in the soda isle at the Kroger when I finally asked a lady that worked there where I would find this little soda that I overlooked. Apparently with baking soda you can clean almost anything...and cook with too? I don't know. If you ask me...if you bake with this product then your pans should be sparkling clean right out of the oven.

Well I need to start the work-out!

 Working out?

Hello to all today:

Well Boyfriend and I have settled into our little nest. We have unpacked and actually started to interact with our new home. I hanged the first pic up. Boyfriend has mowed the grass twice and trimmed the hedges...I think that is what he called it.

We have also been working out together! I bought this work out thing where you get a step, a stability ball, hand weights, and a band...plus four DVD's to help you work out. I work out now for close to two and a half hours a day.

10 minutes of stretching
1 hour of step
2 sessions of the ab workout
alternate days with upper and lower body
2 sessions of deep stretching

I love it. Boyfriend will work out on his days off. Only first stretching and upperbody...and abs...but nothing else.

It is so cute to see him. In the initial stretch he starts sweating and he struggles to get into the stretch position....the lady says steady your breathing and he starts lamaze. The lady says never push yourself, always stay within your comfort zone, he gets off the floor and sits in his chair and drinks coolaid...i guess that's his comfort zone.

Well time for me to get started I guess

 Recent Political Thoughts

Hello to all today:

Like the rest of the world...or well at least the news watching world, I once again watched our president stand up to this country and proclaim the importance of marriage in the United States of America.

OK. This is what I think...agree or disagree is great! I love to know how others feel since 70% of American's hold the same views as the Pres.

Why would allowing gay marriage into the constitution be such a huge deal? Why all the fuss? When the Pres said that marriage is at the heart of America and this is his defense for agreeing to ban gay marriage I had to scratch my head!!! Marriage in America is a joke! The only people who seem to hold any honor in the institution is gay people. All the young people I know are no longer getting married and having children! They are living with one another for years before taking that huge step into marriage. Our parents and grandparents have lived with and married and divorced for enough generations to follow! To tell you the truth perhaps if we allowed gay marriage then the divorce rate in America would finally begin to decline.

Another thing. The Pres appeared to say that marriages help people raise families. So not only would some people like to see a group of HUMAN BEINGS banned from marriage, but also raising children. What was it that Pres said...something like in the sanctity of marriage is where children learn morals and character and blah blah blah? If you believe this please return to previous paragraph!!! Children and young adults in America do not feel the same as our grandparents and parents. We see the destruction that a failed marriage can do and we carry those fears and concerns on with us into adulthood! Not to say we don't want to get married...we just want it to be true and final!

Morals and character are built through genetics and up-bringing. Why is there a fear that if two gay men raise a son there will be a lack of morals in the child? I mean come on....gay men will not "teach" their children to be gay!

When did it become acceptable for us to define marriage as a man and woman union? If 70% of Americans believe that it is wrong for two people of the same gender to marry then where are they? And what the hell are you guys thinking? Even if that number is true...then we as a group are choosing which rights we give to people...and then we control and set limits on the other 30% of PEOPLE!!!!

I heard the high and mighty Pres state that he thinks the decision should rest with the people! If it comes down to that then I think us youngsters need to come out of the wood work and state our case. I do not believe that there are 70% of people who believe in the suppression of rights...where are you guys from the 60s and 70s...shit even the 80s and 90s should feel the same.

This is not a religious issue! This is a rights issue. If you don't like gay people then grow up! Stop hating things you do not understand and get with the program! How would you feel if the government took away your right to be married...because of all the failed marriages before you?

And another thing...I love it when this government masks things and only brings things up when it is beneficial to do so. Trust me if people really wanted to ban gay marriage then they wouldn't stop until it was banned...especially with ratings like 70%.
