 MLK

Hello to all today:

HAPPY MARTIN LUTHER KING JR day!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so frustrated with the fact that there are people still alive today who will not even recognize this Holiday!

MLK did more in his life than many of us will ever do combined. He was the face and voice of change. He not only stood up to fight for human rights, but he died for it.

His life should be praised by all races and then one day we may all live the idea he believed in.

In today's world, in the contacts that we all share, there is an underlying hatred....and MLK would be heart broken if he saw it today.

We should all celebrate his life and even for a day remember his legacy!

 The Human Element

Hello to all today:

I have been a busy little bee, getting ready for another semester at school. Eighteen more hours closer to a degree.

I have really been spending most of my time thinking about my mom. I went to visit her for the weekend. There is something profound in the love that her and I have.

Anyway, this is what I've learned recently. There are times in all of our lives when we look around and cannot see the good things anymore. There are times when we feel all alone, and we can no longer see where our lives are going, nor how we ended up where we are in the first place.

It is amazing how the love from another can motivate us again. A simple smile and belief can change everything about a person. Human touch has been proven to improve moods. Talking with friends and loving someone also has been proven to increase lifespan.

Amazing isn't it? How we all need each other, but often times we are way too busy to notice that there is someone needing a smile, a hug, a simple notice.

I worry that human contact and understnading is fading, and isolation has found its way into our routine.

Does anyone else feel this way? I do not feel isolated but I'm afraid my mother does. What are positive ways to fight back?

 What's up?

Hello to all today:

Well I am here again wondering what to talk about, and I realize that I have forgotten why I started to blog in the first place.

I started here to communicate with other people, to debate important issues in our ever changing world, and to meet new people. Some how I have lost that desire...it became more of a popularity contest here.

Having said that, I am going to go back to just blogging. I am sorry if I have not been able to keep up with everyone's blog, but I have tried to do my best, and I love ALL of the blogs here on the stream.

I think there is a great chance for us all to learn from one another when we stop preaching at each other. There is a way to communicate without preaching and putting each other down.

I hope this message reaches people...if there are still people reading this small place in internet space.

Thanks for stopping in today:
