The simple thoughts

Congrats to us, YouTube, and CNN

Hello to all today:

I am so excited about this next election. It is suggested that the people who have the most control in this next presidential election are those under the age of 30.

It is amazing that a generation of people who have always been told that we have no voice in this process, actually get to ask the candidates questions.

It is also interesting that when the polls are surveyed they say Americans are more worried about the war and when the questions from real Americans came in we seem to be more worried about Education, Global Warming, Healthcare, and global peace than the Iraq war.

Isn't that funny? When we have an opportunity to ask questions...we mostly ask very serious questions passing over the stop stories in the news.

It seems like we really care about a ton of issues. These issues we debate and weigh before we decide on a candidate. Perhaps our generation name should change!

 not a good note

Hello to all today:

Well this message will be mean and angry because I am mean and angry!

FUCK THIS WAR!

FUCK OUR PRESIDENT!

FUCK THOSE WE PUT IN CHARGE TO STOP THIS SHIT!

FUCK THOSE WHO BLINDLY FOLLOW BULLSHIT BECAUSE THIS IS AMERICA AND THEY FEEL THAT IS THEIR DUTY!

FUCK THOSE WHO POST FUCKING MESSAGES AND DO NOT STAND UP WHEN ITS NEEDED!

FUCK FUCK FUCK!

Someone very dear to me is leaving to serve a tour in that fucking place many are calling HELL. It is the saddest think I have ever heard. I hate this war. I hate that a man I love has served willingly in countless places, and now he has to go to this fucking place where there are no rules.

FUCK THIS SHIT!

 MLK

Hello to all today:

HAPPY MARTIN LUTHER KING JR day!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so frustrated with the fact that there are people still alive today who will not even recognize this Holiday!

MLK did more in his life than many of us will ever do combined. He was the face and voice of change. He not only stood up to fight for human rights, but he died for it.

His life should be praised by all races and then one day we may all live the idea he believed in.

In today's world, in the contacts that we all share, there is an underlying hatred....and MLK would be heart broken if he saw it today.

We should all celebrate his life and even for a day remember his legacy!

 The Human Element

Hello to all today:

I have been a busy little bee, getting ready for another semester at school. Eighteen more hours closer to a degree.

I have really been spending most of my time thinking about my mom. I went to visit her for the weekend. There is something profound in the love that her and I have.

Anyway, this is what I've learned recently. There are times in all of our lives when we look around and cannot see the good things anymore. There are times when we feel all alone, and we can no longer see where our lives are going, nor how we ended up where we are in the first place.

It is amazing how the love from another can motivate us again. A simple smile and belief can change everything about a person. Human touch has been proven to improve moods. Talking with friends and loving someone also has been proven to increase lifespan.

Amazing isn't it? How we all need each other, but often times we are way too busy to notice that there is someone needing a smile, a hug, a simple notice.

I worry that human contact and understnading is fading, and isolation has found its way into our routine.

Does anyone else feel this way? I do not feel isolated but I'm afraid my mother does. What are positive ways to fight back?
