Hello to all today:
I have been a busy little bee, getting ready for another semester at school. Eighteen more hours closer to a degree.
I have really been spending most of my time thinking about my mom. I went to visit her for the weekend. There is something profound in the love that her and I have.
Anyway, this is what I've learned recently. There are times in all of our lives when we look around and cannot see the good things anymore. There are times when we feel all alone, and we can no longer see where our lives are going, nor how we ended up where we are in the first place.
It is amazing how the love from another can motivate us again. A simple smile and belief can change everything about a person. Human touch has been proven to improve moods. Talking with friends and loving someone also has been proven to increase lifespan.
Amazing isn't it? How we all need each other, but often times we are way too busy to notice that there is someone needing a smile, a hug, a simple notice.
I worry that human contact and understnading is fading, and isolation has found its way into our routine.
Does anyone else feel this way? I do not feel isolated but I'm afraid my mother does. What are positive ways to fight back?
Thanks for stopping in today:
Nik

i agree with your comments.... people are afraid to be honest and afraid to make the jump of taking a risk of being personal with someone incase they get the wrong idea or see what is not there.. also the danger of some types of "looks and smiles" can start arguments or make a person feel threatened.... it is a sad state of affairs, but it is true...
Good luck with your search for more company and i wish your mother and you wellllllll.
